About Us

St. Anne’s is the Catholic parish covering Higher Openshaw, Audenshaw and parts of Droylsden in East Manchester and Tameside. We are part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford. The parish was founded in 1870 and the present church was built in 1897. It’s unique bell tower stands out as you travel along the A635 to Manchester or Ashton-under-Lyne.

We try to be a welcoming community both for our regular worshippers and for visitors to our church. Our team of welcomers are there to greet you with a smile, help you find a place if the church gets full and try to answer any questions you may have.
